En riktig klassiker som även kallas för biff special. Rätten sägs ha uppfunnits på stadshotellet i Karlstad men påminde då mer om en omelett än den senapsstuvade rätten vi gör idag.

Gör så här

  1. Tärna köttet i drygt centimeterstora bitar. 
  2. Skala och hacka löken fint och skala och skär potatisarna i centimeterstora tärningar. 
  3. Koka potatistärningarna i lättsaltat vatten några minuter. Slå potatisen i durkslag och låt rinna av väl. 
  4. Stek sedan potatisen färdigt i smör i en stekpanna.
  5. Blanda senap, äggulor, lök och köttärningar i en bunke. 
  6. Hetta upp en stekpanna ordentligt, smält en klick smör i pannan och stek köttblandningen hastigt, ungefär som en omelett. 
  7. Salta och peppra. 
  8. Lägg upp potatis på ena halvan av ett uppläggningsfat eller tallrikar och kött på den andra. Strö hackad persilja över och servera genast.
