Brisket, also known as point brisket, is a relatively unknown cut in Sweden but immensely popular in the American South. Brisket is a fattier forequarter cut that is excellent for rubbing with plenty of spices and cooking slowly, preferably in a smoker BBQ-style. The cut has the same texture as stew meat and requires long cooking at low temperatures. It has a fat cap on both the top and bottom and a very rich meat flavor. A grilling cut for the more advanced chef.

This smaller size corresponds to approximately half a brisket and consists of both the "point" and "flat" muscles.

Please note! Brisket should not be confused with Obeef brisket, which is a completely different cut.

About our meat

Our beef is organic, grass-fed beef from Western Sweden. We collaborate with around 40 cattle farmers, from Ekshärad in the north to Simlångsdalen in the south. These are farms that we are proud to work with, as they focus on both quality and care for animals and nature. All animals are raised on grass and herbs, which allows them to grow at a natural pace, and the meat thus has time to become marbled, flavorful, and tender. The meat is dry-aged for 7–14 days and hand-cut at our butchery in Uddevalla. On whole cuts (i.e., everything except ground meat), you will always find complete origin information: which farmer the animal came from, as well as its sex, breed, and age.

Handling advice

Detaljen är vakuumförpackad för bästa hållbarhet och märkt med ursprung, vikt, datum och namn. Rekommenderad förvaringstemperatur för frysvaror är max -18°C. Tina gärna upp köttet i kylskåpet över natten eller i en skål med kallt vatten, förvara sen kylt i max +4°C. En tinad köttbit håller sig ca 1 – 3 dagar i kylen. Vid leverans kan du förvänta dig en hållbarhet på minst 2 – 3 månader för frysta detaljer.

Produkter märkta med ett bäst-före-datum går ofta utmärkt att använda även om datumet har passerat, låt därför lukten och utseendet på produkten avgöra snarare än datumet. (OBS! Var noga på att skilja på bäst före och sista förbrukningdag!)
